Steve’s Blog » It’s Sale-A-Bration Creation Time!
I had so much fun creating cards with all the fun products from Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-A-Bration 2021. I’ve already done two blog posts featuring a couple of my favorite sets; Darling Donkeys and Corner Bouquet. Here are the rest of the cards I made. For all of you who earned Sale-a-Bration items, it’s time to create! This post is for you! I hope these cards inspire you, serve as fun designs to copy as-is, or as jumping off points to something all yours. However you use them, whether you use them, may you have joy creating whatever you create.
This stamp set is called “Touch of Ink” and it’s a great “two-step” set with tons of potential that I didn’t even begin to tap into. I used it first to demonstrate how you can make the above cute set of 3×3 note cards with just black ink and one other color for each card. Then I moved onto the bigger cards below, but with the same concept of keeping it simple.
The “Flower & Field” Designer Series Paper turned out to be much more striking in real life than it appeared in the catalog to me. Here are some cards made with it…
The sentiments in these next two are from the “Heal Your Heart” stamp set.
The other Designer Series Paper that turned out to be more gorgeous in person was “Paper Blooms”. Here in these next two cards with the “Heal Your Heart” set.
Here are two cards made with my favorite pattern in the “Paper Blooms” DSP (those awesome circles!) and the “Approaching Perfection” stamp set. I colored the balloons and stamped the candles the same colors as the circles.
But the set that turned out to be my absolute favorite was the “Berry Blessings Stamp Set” & “Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper.” I could sit for days playing only with these items and not get bored. Bright, fun colors combined with soft watercolor pictures make this the most versatile set of the bunch. The results were some of my favorite cards.
How mouth-watering were those? And they were just the first batch of cards to ripen. I’m sure there will be more sprouting soon. (Oh, yeah, ending the post with some Dad humor. You’re welcome.)
Feel free to leave comments below. I’d love to hear what sets you like and the fun you’ve had creating with them. For more about Stampin’ Up!, including classes, specials, sales, monthly kits, and shopping (yes, shopping!) visit my website here.
Until next time, my friends, take care of yourselves, take care of each other, and Happy Crafting!!
