What inspired me
I started making this card when I was writing my previous blog post, “Get Darker Lines with Outline Stamps.” The card was still on my platform. I had already colored it. It was ready to restamp with black ink. That’s when I wondered if I should try stamping it with VersaMark Watermark Ink instead and embossing it? The answer came back loud and clear… “Yes! And in gold!”
How to make it
You can really do this with any outline stamp. Using a stamping platform such as Misti, stamp the image on white cardstock. Leave it right where it is on the platform, as well as the stamp, and do whatever coloring you want. Let it dry completely. (You can use a heat tool for that if you’re impatient.) Then ink up the stamp with Versamark Watermark Ink, and stamp over the image again. Sprinkle on some gold embossing powder, heat it, and voila!
Try this with one of your stamp sets. It’s super easy to do, and with all the different stamps and colors of embossing powders, the options are limitless.
